MRF Safety & Dispatch Solution

Monitoring, dispatch and lone-worker safety, even where there's no cell coverage.

Safety timers, SOS alerts, 10-codes and two-way messaging for lone workers and officers, plus a monitoring centre that sees everyone on one map. Over 8,000 safety users are monitored on the platform today.

MRF’s Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) and Safety Solution is built for organizations with staff in the field: lone workers, enforcement officers and emergency responders. Configurable safety policies, timers and 10-codes run on phones, in-vehicle tablets and satellite devices. The monitoring centre sees every status, alarm and location on one screen.

MRF has developed three safety product lines, so every organization can start at the level it needs:

  • Safety Lite: a streamlined, essential safety solution for municipal self-management.
  • Safety Pro: an advanced, professional-grade safety system.
  • Safety Plus: a tailored safety solution designed for Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) and regional monitoring centres, with their own branding and dedicated apps.

Covered beyond the cell network

Much of Western Canada has no cellular coverage, and that’s often exactly where field staff work alone. MRF Safety keeps them connected in three ways:

  • Cellular and Wi-Fi: the MRF Safety app on phones, tablets and laptops, plus in-vehicle tracking devices.
  • Satellite messengers: SPOT and Garmin inReach devices for staff working in remote areas.
  • Direct-to-cell: beyond traditional satellite messengers, MRF is a Rogers reseller, and Rogers partners with Starlink for direct-to-cell service. Staff can send a direct-to-cell message from their own phone to the monitoring centre’s predefined number to update their safety status, even in a no-cell zone.
