Business Development Associate

MRF Geosystems Corporation is currently looking for a dynamic, self-motivated individual with experience and skills to work with both internal team members and external customers. This integral role aims towards the successful sale of MRF Geosystems products and services to end-customers. The primary focus for this position will be:


  • Playing a lead role in GIS business growth

  • Building and achieving short term, mid term, and long term strategic plans

  • Sourcing new sales opportunities through inbound lead generation and outbound cold calls and emails

  • Performing effective online demos to prospects

  • Identifying new prospects, taking action, and converting leads into customers

  • Understanding customer needs and requirements, build customer relationships


  • Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and verbal format and build and maintain relationships with customers

  • Minimum of 1~3 years proven Business Development Experience in GIS related industry

  • Ability to create custom GIS specifications from customer needs

  • Refine and summarize issues, and document changes

  • Pay attention to details


  • Ability to find business opportunities and partnerships

  • Familiar with a variety of GIS technology concepts, practices, and procedures

  • Excellent analytical skills

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Computer Science, Software Development, Business or GIS related degree preferred

  • Experience with commercial GIS software/products/tools


  • Calgary Office

  • Must be able to travel when required
