ArcGIS Consulting Services to National Energy Board (NEB)

 


In January 2005, MRF was selected to provide ArcGIS consulting services to the National Energy Board (“NEB”). The NEB was using ESRI ArcGIS 9 software for all its GIS needs, including ArcView, ArcInfo, ArcSDE, and ArcIMS. MRF’s tasks was to:

 

·         Perform GIS Analysis: including GIS user needs analysis, GIS data analysis, data modeling, project planning, and application prototyping.

·         Conduct GIS database management: data acquisition, data processing, transformation, and loading, data quality assurance, database optimization, etc.

·         Develop GIS applications: using ESRI programming API’s, ArcIMS, and ArcObjects.

 

To date, MRF has developed an ArcIMS based application called iMap to support web-based GIS information viewing, search and query. MRF also loaded many types of data into the geodatabase, including vector GIS data, orthophotos, DEM data, and GRID data.
