MRF Overlay
MRF
Overlay is an overlay processing package. It employs the latest Component
Object Model (COM) technology and integrates tightly with the GeoMedia /
GeoMedia Pro environment. It integrates information from two input
feature classes into a single output feature class. MRF Overlay allows
you to assign a tolerance to each input feature class.
In
the integration process, MRF Overlay will move spatial objects with a
larger tolerance to objects with the smaller one, when they are within
tolerance. In this way, MRF Overlay avoids the generation of slivers
(sub-tolerance polygons). This is one of the major benefits of using MRF
Overlay (See the figure below).

Sliver Avoidance
MRF
Overlay establishes topological relationships such as point-in-polygon
and line-in-polygon, and saves information in the output database.
Furthermore, the original attribute data, if selected, is transferred to
the output tables.
MRF
Overlay:
- Runs
on top of GeoMedia / GeoMedia Pro
- Allows
a tolerance for each input feature class
- Generate
no sliver polygons
- Outputs
the selected attributes
- Has a
user-friendly interface
- Is
very efficient
