MRF Buffer
MRF
Buffer is an intuitive and easy to use buffer zone generation package. It
can generate several types of buffers for GeoMedia objects, and provides a
host of options for dealing with polygons, islands, and processing by
fence.
MRF
Buffer:
- Runs
on top of GeoMedia / GeoMedia Professional
- Merges
the created buffer zones
- Rounds
the edges of the buffers
- Outputs
to specified area feature class
- Has a
user-friendly interface
- Is
very efficient
What
is a buffer zone?
A
buffer zone is a region surrounding one or more objects. Every point in
the region is within the user-specified buffer distance of the objects. In
other words, the closest distance between a point in the buffer zone and
a point on or in the object is less than or equal to the buffer distance.
If the buffer zones for the input elements overlap, they are merged to
form larger buffer zones.
MRF
Buffer provides the following options for generating buffer
zones about area features:
1.
Exterior Zone
2.
Exterior Solid
3.
Interior Zone
4.
Interior Solid
